In April, the volume of Hong Kong's goods re-exports rose 13% over the same month last year, while that of domestic exports fell 17.6%. Taken together, the volume of total goods exports rose 11.3%. In the month, the volume of goods imports grew 14%.

May saw the value of total exports of goods rise to $216.6 billion, up 12.1% on the same month last year, the Census & Statistics Department says. The figure comes after a year-on-year rise of 12.6% in April.
